Stakeholders The participants from the community were between 16 and 80 years old. The researcher ensured to include a balanced group that covered gender, ethnicity and socio-economic status. Employment status was not a variable used in this study. The researcher used ten jurisdictions nationwide to help ensure coverage of the majority of subcultures within the U.S. population. There were three large police departments, four medium police departments, and three small police departments. The community population corresponded to the size of the department. Each jurisdiction included poor, lower class, middle class and upper class respondents. Other found research studies have only focused on individual jurisdictions and communities or country compared to country (Schuck Rosenbaum, 2005). Those were either too narrow or too broad for the intent of this research project. Research Methods The research involved self-completion questionnaires covering the experiences of police officers and community members within the ten jurisdictions researched. Furthermore, it included rural and urban locations and the target population were those people who had any type of interaction with the police. It was a cost-effective way to obtain a large sample base in a reasonable amount of time. Who Cheats Cheaters come in all shapes and sizes. In fact, 75% of all students openly admit to some form of academic dishonesty throughout their educational career (Cheating Fact Sheet). With so many people who openly admit to academic dishonesty, certain categories of students tend to exhibit more cheating behaviors than others. One classification consists of students in a group. Studies have found that cheating is more prevalent in group oriented settings, such as fraternities and sororities (Anderman and Murdock 17). Most dishonest behaviors involve some form of collaboration or communication between learners thus, this correlation is logical. The correlation between cheating behaviors and academic performance based on GPA is also†¦show more content†¦Students are attempting to justify their dishonest acts, and using many different justifications for such acts. The most common justification for cheating behaviors is a lack of time and worry about potential failure. Other reasons for dishonest behaviors include; high pressure for grades, unfair professor or assigned workload, lack of effort, and lack of fear if caught (Anderman and Murdock 12-13; Keith-Speigel and Whitley 23-24). McCabe offers and insightful opinion as he suggests that students cheat because they will see others cheating, and getting away with it. This gives them an unfair advantage in the race for a high GPA, which will influence other student’s to cheat in order to level the playing field (Cheating in College). Academics have become a never ending battle for grades. The goals of structuralized education have shifted from engaging student’s to learn valuable and world altering knowledge, and instead has shifted to producing student’s with a 4.0 GPA. Performance oriented educational systems only invite dishonest behaviors because the legitimate acquisition of knowledge is undervalued and less important than the letter on a report card. Answer: Introducation: In order to set out any viable plan, it is important to note down the activities to be achieved and their time limits. Time frames ensure that a person sticks to the plans and that there is no chance of wasting time in other things (Saajanaho et al., 2016). It is thus the joy of everyone to see that the plans that they set have been successfully achieved at the right time. At the moment, my goals a)re: first to complete my bachelors degree, second is to enroll and complete my Masters degree and third is to start my own Fast Food joint business which will be aimed at my commitment in the creation of job opportunities to other youths. In this case, the three questions which guide my setting and realization of my goals are: what do you intend to achieve? What are the expectations of the society? Do you have what it requires solving a social challenge? My drive to achieve are based on the fact that am an organized individuals who keeps time well, I can handle stressing tasks, am accurate and am effective in a personal way. Apart from making profits, my goal of starting a business is to provide opportunity to many graduates who are stuck jobless in the market. This Fast Food joint business will be a profitable business because most people in UAE have a busy lifestyle and hence they require a convenient place to take their meals. In my current job, I have learned customer satisfaction and record keeping skills. Marketing and implementation strategy The implementation and marketing of these goals will be on the basis of the vast experience that I have had while at my current place of employment (Chang, 2016). Other personal attributes are good customer relations, proper communication, and a focused individual. Having good interpersonal skills, am sure that I will be able to constantly interact with people for help in school work while I will have proper customer relations to advance my business. Risks and mitigation It is important to note that running and maintaining a business is a challenging activity. Some of the challenges that I might face is on recruitment of qualified people to work in my Fast Food joint shop (Newton et al., 2015). In this case, I will base my selection criteria for the right personnel for the new business on the years of past experience. Another challenge is raising capital to venture into this business. In this case, I intend to borrow money from family and relatives on repayable terms. Having started the business, I will have my wife as the director to oversee the business operations while I will be going through the sales books on a daily basis. Ethics While in my current job and once I start my own business, honesty to the clients, colleagues and my employer will be key to my success (Hartman et al., 2014). Since I was young, I have been honest with my parents and myself; same case to my employer. I borrow my motivation from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, a renowned entrepreneur that "Every morning you have two options: sleep to complete your dreams or wake up to achieve your dreams". On the basis of the six-word memoir, my memoir is: success is achieved through hard work and honesty. I therefore wish to work very hard in fulfilling my goals to ensure that within the next five years, I will be a different person, at a better position than I am today. I am sure that by completing my first degree and a Masters degree, coupled with starting my own business, I will have fulfilled my heart desires as well as change the lives of other people in the society through job creation and offering of quality services. This is certainly true for everyone of the humankind, for if there were no dreams, there would be no reason to live. Duddy Kravitz understands this perfectly, that is why he is one of the most ambitious young men of his time. From the moment he hears his grandfather says, "A man without land is nobody," he is prepared to seek the land of his dream -- no matter what the cost would be. This ambition of his is very respectable, but unfortunately his methods are damnable. Duddy is a relentless pursuer; a formidable competitor and also a ruthless manipulator. It is true that he has obtained all the land that he desires at the end, but he succeeds through immoral, despicable and contemptible means. It is clear then, that Duddy has failed in his apprenticeship and has become the "scheming little bastard" that Uncle Benjy has warned him against. There is no doubt that Duddy is very shrewd and clever, but his lack of moral principles attributes to his final failure. In fact, his immorality can be traced back to a very young age. During his study in the parochial school, he already earns money through methods that hardly comply to virtues of any kind. Taking advantage of the fact that minors cannot be sued in Canada, Duddy defrauds stamp companies and sells stolen hockey sticks. Perhaps he cannot distinguish right from wrong; perhaps he does not care, but nonetheless it is not proper for him to engage himself into these kinds of activities. Duddy emerges himself deeper into the sea of corruption when he establishes Dudley Kane Enterprises. With his limited knowledge of movie making and his mistaken trust in John Friar, his firm produces bar-mitzvah films of extremely poor quality. The bar-mitzvah film for Mr. Cohen, for example, is obviously a failing product. "Duddy didn't say a word all through the screening but afterwards he was sick to his stomach." After the scre ening, Duddy says to Mr. Friar, "I could sell Mr. Cohen a dead horse easier than this pile of --." However, realizing the obvious faultiness of the film, Duddy does not talk candidly to his client. Instead, he untruthfully says that the film is a phenomenal piece of art and that he is entering it into the Cannes Festival. By doing so, he deceives the Cohen family into buying the defective bar-mitzvah film of Bernie. As a matter of fact, Kravitz is not only skillful in handling situations, but he is also very apt in manipulating people. This can be clearly seen in his relationships with Virgil and Yvette. Duddy is never loved in his family, so originally Duddy is quite content to know that there is someone who cares about him -- Yvette. He finds great comradeship in her and has also enjoyed great sex with her. But as time passes by, Yvette becomes only a tool to him. He uses her as a medium through which he can buy the land that he lusts for; because he is a minor and he can not legally own land. "The farmers would be wary of a young Jew, they might jack up prices or even refuse to sell, but another French-Canadian would not be suspect." Duddy also treats her as a sexual toy. He makes love with Yvette whenever he wants it, but he does not take Yvette's feelings into consideration: "Yvette wanted to wait, but Duddy insisted, and they made love on the carpet." He never pays any respect to Yvette and he does "...not know how to treat a woman." With Virgil, Duddy takes advantage of his physical disabilities. After selling the pinball machines that Virgil brought him to ease his financial troubles, Duddy does not want to repay Virgil. Using the fact that Virgil is an epileptic and that it is very difficult for him to be hired, Duddy employs him as a driver. But Duddy tells him that a truck would be necessary for the task, and that he can provide Virgil with the perfect vehicle for one thousand dollars
